Jeff Black was born in Kansas City, Missouri and

has been making music since he was 10 years old.

The critically acclaimed singer songwriter has had songs recorded by a diverse span of artists as well as releasing 8 albums of his own material consisting of original songs in the acoustic roots and contemporary folk genres. Jeff Black covered

in a brief history includes songs he has written and performed that have been recorded by Black's contemporaries.

was recently recorded by

Alison Krauss & Union Station for their 2011

release “Paper Airplane”.

“Circles Around Me” (Jeff Black, Sam Bush)

Title track to Sam’s Grammy Nominated

release in 2010. That album also included Jeff’s

“Gold Heart Locket”. Sam Bush has recorded

several of Jeff’s songs including “Same Ol’ River”, “They’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone”,

“KIng Of The World” and “I Wanna Do Right”
