Jodeci are an R&B quartet who mix old style soul with a new jack twist. They came to fame with a string of successful singles, including "Come and Talk to Me".
Brothers Donald and Dalvin Degrate met brothers Cedric (aka K-Ci) and Joel (aka JoJo) Hailey when they were all choir boys. Together they hatched a plan to make a demo tape of songs they had written, play it to some record executives in New York, get a record deal and become successful R&B stars - and it worked! They released their debut album Forever My Lady for Uptown Entertainment in 1991.
Their recipe of strong singles, including "Come and Talk to Me" which sold three million copies, has taken all their albums into the upper reaches of the charts and platinum sales. Performing as K-Ci & Jojo, half the band branched out as a successful double act while the Degrate brothers had their own solo albums. They all reunited in 2005 to work on a track for DJ Quik, and have reportedly been in the studio working on a new album.
