Jurassic 5 was a six-piece hip-hop group that formed in Los Angeles in 1994. They released their debut EP Jurassic 5 EP in 1997, and added some new tracks to make it a full-length Jurassic 5 LP in 1998. Both were critically acclaimed and J5 became regarded as one of the best new alternative hip-hop groups.
After signing to Interscope, they released Quality Control in 2000. It also received mostly positive reviews. Power In Numbers (2003) was their third album, and after DJ Cut Chemist left to pursue a solo career, their fourth album Feedback was released in 2006.
