Garside performing live.KatieJane (Katrina Jane) Garside (born July 8, 1968) is a multifaceted vocalist, lyricist, artist and writer who fronted the first incarnation of the band Daisy Chainsaw. After retiring from the music world temporarily, she now fronts Queen Adreena, an independent goth/rock band from London.

She has also worked extensively in performance art, film and photography. In late 2007, her exhibition Darling, they've found the body was shown at WOOM in Birmingham. She has previously exhibited, in 2005, at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London; Queen Adreena also recorded their first live album there (Live at the ICA (2005)).

Her solo work includes a collection of original unedited home recordings called Lalleshwari / Lullabies in a Glasswilderness released in 2006. Complementing this release was a collection of short films made by Katiejane.

Garside also co-created the comic book Indigo Vertigo with artist Daniel Schaffer. Another comic book produced by Garside with Daniel Schaffer is "Lesions in the Brain".

Most recently, KatieJane is collaborating with Chris Whittingham in the band Ruby Throat, a more ethereal, vocal based project. They have released two albums to date.

Her sister, Melanie Garside, also has a career in music, and was briefly the bass player for Queen Adreena.

Former Hole frontwoman Courtney Love once cited KatieJane as the first real Riot Grrrl, along with Kat Bjelland of Babes in Toyland.

The song Metal Mickey by Suede is said to have been written with KatieJane in mind.

Garside performed live at the party to commemorate the end of Stella Vine's major solo exhibition at Modern Art Oxford in 2007.
