His songs basically taught me how to be a Christian, much like learning to sing the ABC's taught me the alphabet. There are a number of decent Keith Green albums on the market. Some are albums that lump songs together by theme. Others have songs from "The Early Years." Unfortunately, many of the incredible original releases (For Him Who Has Ears to Hear, No Compromise, The Keith Green Collection, So You Wanna Go Back To Egypt, and Songs for the Shepherd) have fallen out of print. But you can get the best of his best stuff right here with The Ministry Years Vol 1, 1977-1979. And don't hesitate to get "The Ministry Years, Vol 2 (1980-1982)."

Great music, poor recordingThese songs take me back to my beginnings as a Christian. They're great. My wife, who has only been a Christian for 17 years, agrees. My only complaint is with the quality of the recording. The signal is weak, requiring a much higher volume setting on my amp than is typical, and the recording sounds rather tinny, like an AM radio broadcast.
