Biography

Edit

Lacuna Coil is an Italian gothic metal band formed in 1996. The current members are

Cristina Scabbia (vocals), Andrea Ferro (vocals), Cristiano "Pizza" Migliore (guitar), Marco "Maus" Biazzi (guitar), Marco Coti Zelati (bass/keyboards) and Cristiano "Criz" Mozzati (drums).

Their first full length studio release was 1999's In a Reverie which they followed in 2001 with Unleashed Memories. However, it was not until 2002's Comalies that the band began to attract mainstream attention and positive critical comment. Their appearance at Ozzfest in 2004 was instrumental in raising their profile and they consolidated it with a hectic touring schedule throughout the following year.

Karmacode, their fourth studio album was released in 2006 and it debuted at No.28 on the Billboard charts. It also appeared in the charts in several countries across the world including, for the first time, their home country.
