5 stars Delicious!
Another wonderful offering from Le Tigre! They continue to put out their unique "low-fi" tunes with punk edges. The process of making this work was painstaking. Check out mrlady.com for FAQ's. Using a "clueless male" voice in the songs was a nice touch reminiscent of the song "White Boy" of early Bikini Kill. Strong "thinking" lyrics and the totally fresh sound of Le Tigre's music makes this MUST have!

3 stars okay, i guess.
the new le tigre is kind of a milquetoast type of affair. all the songs kind of have the same feel to it, a scrambled more laid back jumbled sound than the last album. less diverse. none of the songs are anywhere as startling or powerful as the debut album. there is a remix "the the empty" where they bring some of the vocals to the front, but the remix doesn't really go anywhere. for once kathleen hannah has created something that didn't blow me away.
