5 stars Good Value, good recordings of some harder to find LB versions
These are Leadbelly's early commercial recordings. This one is the one to get if your Leadbelly collection is still missing the SIX-STRING versions of Packin' Trunk (Matchbox Blues here, same song, it is) and You Can't Lose A Me Charlie and 12-string Black Snake Moan. And man, this album is always cheap on Amazon. Right now there's one up for 98 cents. this is sort of a leadbelly tribute to blind lemon jefferson, it is good but it is nowhere near as good as some other leadbelly albums, this is a decent price for the album as well as Leadbelly's best cover art
