Leon Russel is one of the greatest musicians of his generation. The best of album is filled with great tracks that are melodic and soothing with his signature raspy voice. Some of the tracks are rather slow but after repeated listening the slower tracks true quality is unleashed. Even if you dont like all the songs on the album the first three are good enough to blow just about anything out of the water.

2 stars Leon Russell only had 10 hits?
I knew this wasn't going to be a good purchase even before I put my money down. However, I'm a huge fan of Leon Russell and wanted something inexpensive to introduce a friend to the terrific music of this artist. While I have a problem with the sound quality of this CD I have a bigger problem with the fact that it only contains ten songs. Russell has a wealth of music out there and the ten songs on this CD could hardly be considered a fair or accurate representation of his "best" - sure there ar…
