Leonard Simon Nimoy (; born March 26, 1931) is an American actor, film director, poet, musician, and photographer. Nimoy's fame rests on his playing the role of Spock in the original Star Trek series 1966-1969, as well as reprising the role in various movie and television sequels. He has written two autobiographies, I Am Not Spock (1975) and I Am Spock (1995).
