LeRoy Bach is an American musician. LeRoy was involved in the recording of Wilco's 1999 album Summerteeth, 2000's "Mermaid Avenue, Vol 2," 2002's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, and 2004's A Ghost Is Born. In January 2004, Wilco announced on the band's web site that Bach was leaving the band. While a member of Wilco, LeRoy played a number of instruments live and in the studio, including piano, synthesizers, guitar, and bass.
Previously Bach was involved with The Dishes, 5ive Style, and leader of Uptighty, a Chicago dance band. He performed in "The Shaggs: Philosophy of the World," playing guitar at the Lookingglass Theatre in Chicago. He toured with Liz Phair in support of her Whip-Smart release and appeared in the video for the song Supernova. He also performed in Beth Orton's band as bass player, on her 2006 UK and US tour, promoting Comfort of Strangers.
Bach later toured with the indie-folk band Iron and Wine on their Shepherd's Dog tour.
Since 1994 he has collaborated with poet and singer, Marvin Tate.
At the turn of the century, Bach held what turned into an 18-month, Monday-night residency with Edward Burch at The Hideout in Chicago.
Bach also played in a well received college town band in Champaign Urbana Illinois, named The Bowery Boys. Their only release was George Jones vs. Godzilla.
He recently appeared on Joan of Arc's "Boo Human!" record.
