Lifehouse is an American rock band formed in 1996 under the original name Blyss.

After one EP as Blyss, Diff's Lucky Day (1999), the band changed to Lifehouse for No Name Face in 2000. The success of the album was due in part to the hit single "Hanging by a Moment" and much of the focus was on the frontman and creative force in the band, Jason Wade.

The follow-up albums were 2002's Stanley Climbfall and 2005's Lifehouse, but both failed to match the success of the first album. The most recent album was 2007's Who We Are.
