Southern rapper Lil Scrappy broke through with the crunk track “Head Bussa”, in 2003.
Lil Scrappy started his career making mixtapes, which helped build his reputation in the South East. His debut single “Head Bussa” spread his name further and paved the way for his debut album, The King of Crunk & BME Recordings Present: Trillville & Lil Scrappy. He and Trillville released the split album in 2004, and shared in its gold sales.
He enlisted a who’s who of collaborators for his debut solo album Bred 2 Die Born 2 Live. With a line-up that included 50 Cent, Three 6 Mafia and Young Buck, it was no surprise the album debuted in the Top 30 of the Billboard 200. He is currently working on his follow-up, due for release in 2008.
