Patrick Lanshaw, aka southern rapper Lil Wyte, was born in Memphis in 1982. Wyte is a member of the rap collective Hypnotize Camp Posse and regularly works with Three 6 Mafia and DJ Paul. He is known for his crunk tracks, and their preoccupation with drugs and drug taking, his songs include "My Smoking Song" and "Oxycotton". His debut album, Doubt Me Now, sold over 100 000 copies and brought him to the attention of Warner Music Group who released his follow up, 2007's The One & Only, which was released to favourable reviews.
