Linda Eder is a singer who cites Judy Garland, Eileen Farrell and Barbra Streisand as her greatest influence and whose style reflects this. By 26 she had formed a duo with Paul Todd, an accomplished pianist, and together they created the Paul and Linda Show, performing at venues across America.
When that duo split, Linda took part in the television talent show Star Search and caught the attention of Angel Records and Frank Wildhorn who became her husband in 1998. The marriage to Wildhorn generated roles for her in his musicals, including Svengali and Jeckyll & Hyde. The couple divorced in 2005.
Her recorded output extends beyond her Broadway appearances; she has released several albums which contain a blend of standards and pop songs and regularly plays to packed concert halls across America.
