Lindsay Lohan is an American singer, model and actress born in 1986.
Her career began when she was only three; she was a child model. Her first acting role was as Alexandra "Alli" Fowler on Another World in 1996. She moved to the big screen in 1998, and she eventually joined Disney for a three film contract, the start of a significant acting career.
Her singing career started when she recorded the closing theme tune to one of her films, Freaky Friday. She was signed to Casablanca Records in 2004 and her debut album Speak followed later that year, peaking at No.4 on the Billboard album charts. It finally achieved platinum status.
Just a year later her second album A Little More Personal (Raw) was released. This time it only reached No.20 in the charts and dropped from sight just a short while later. The critics didn't like it and Lohan struggled to find the time to promote it given her taxing filming schedule.
For her third album Lohan moved record labels to Motown and it has been reported that this album is likely to represent a shift of musical direction for her, venturing into a more urban style. Recording may take some time as Lohan's hard-partying, glossy-magazine-column-inch-grabbing lifestyle threatens to overtake her efforts in any kind of creative endeavors.
