Luna were a dream pop/indie rock band formed in 1991 from the ashes of similar band Galaxie 500. Originally comprised of Dean Wareham (guitar and vocals), Justin Harwood (bass) and Stanley Demeski (drums), later line-ups included Sean Eden (guitar/vocals), Britta Phillips (bass) and Lee Wall (drums). Although the band released eight studio albums none ever charted and they had no hit singles. Luna disbanded in 2004, playing their final gig at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City, in February 2005.
