Mix in a little alternative techno and some Madonna, and you'll get the single "Bedtime Story." Written by Icelandic singing superstar Bjork, this song incorporates a blend of fantasia mixed in with some special effects. Although this is one of Madonna songs in my book, the single's success did not meet what many in the music industry thought it would. 2 stars Disappointing versions of a CLASSIC song
"Bedtime Story" is one of my all time favorite Madonna tracks, so I was very much looking forward to hearing the mixes. Unfortunately this maxi is standard bass thumping club fare, and very uninspired. It also includes another good track "Survival", but seeing as how that one's just the album version it really makes more sense to just pick up the BEDTIME STORIES disc itself, which, if you're a Madge fan, you REALLY must do.
