Mark Chesnutt is an American country music singer whose neo-traditional style has earned him fame and several platinum albums.
Supported by a keen father, Chesnutt was signed to MCA Nashville in 1989. By 1990, had his first hit with "Too Cold at Home"; the title track from his debut album. The album was a great success, and four more tracks hit the Top Ten. The follow-up album repeated the success, spawning four further charting singles. In fact, his first three albums achieved platinum certification.
Since then he has flirted with contemporary covers, recording Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" and though he has failed to reach the heady heights of those earlier years, he continues to release well-regarded albums which sell well by most standards.
