Martin Sexton is a singer-songwriter whose rise to fame was slow but steady, busking on street corners and gigging in clubs. Famed for his live performances and his expressive and versatile singing, he has won many fans that are attracted to his blend of folk, soul and occasionally, gospel.
His first album, Black Sheep was released in 1996; four years after his self-produced demo, In The Journey, hit the streets. By the time he released 2000's Wonder Bar he had attracted the attention of Tony Levin (bassist, King Crimson) and David Sancious (keyboards, Bruce Springsteen), both of whom played on the album.
