Matthew William Sorum (born November 19, 1960, in what is now Mission Viejo, California) is an American hard rock drummer and percussionist. Sorum is most famous for his 7-year stint in Guns N' Roses (1990-1997) and supergroup Velvet Revolver (2002-2008), which comprises former Guns N' Roses members Duff McKagan (bass) and Slash (lead guitar).
