Biography

Edit

Mest are a pop punk band from Blue Island, Illinois, formed by cousins Matt and Tony Lovato in 1985, later joined by Steve Lovato, (Tony's brother).

They self-released their debut album Mo' Money, Mo' 40z in 1998. Followed-up by 2000's Wasting Time, which had the hit singles "What's the Dillio?" and "Drawing Board". In 2001, Destination Unknown got to No.12 on the Heatseekers chart, promoted by the tour with LA punk band Goldfinger. During the tour, the gigs at the House of Blues in West Hollywood were filmed and released as part of The Show Must Go Off series of DVDs.

The band enlisted Good Charlottes' singer Benji Madden to provide vocals for the single "Jaded (these years)" from Mest. The bands' last album was 2005's Photographs album, after which the band decided to split up.
