Michael Bublé's smooth Sinatra-style singing has taken him to worldwide success.
In his teens Bublé was already gaining a reputation both as a singer, including performances as Elvis, and as a writer, with songs he had written for the film Here's to Life receiving Genie Award nominations. He got his big break singing at the wedding of the Canadian Prime Minister's daughter, where he met and was signed by producer David Foster of Warner Brothers Records.
In 2003 he released his self-titled debut album in which he covered songs including Van Morrison's "Moondance" and "Sway", originally a hit for Dean Martin. The album was a commercial and critical success, reaching the Top 50 worldwide with total sales of over four million. He also received the Juno Award for Best New Artist in 2004.
Bublé's success proved that there was a growing appetite for his crooning style and subsequent releases It's Time and Call Me Irresponsible have been popular with the record buying public, and with critics, in the form of the many awards he has won.
In addition to his singing career Bublé has appeared in the films Duets and Totally Blonde.
