Once again the ex-doobie gives it his best.this cd is outstanding (you are everything brought tears to my eyes,too bad the press isnt giving this cd the credit it deserves.great job mike.

3 stars Nice performances, hardly a sellout
Michael McDonald's husky, soulful baritone is well suited to covering these Motown hits. Those who view him as a sellout for appearing in the MCI ads are losing sight of an ugly, but unavoidable, truth about today's music business, which is that most large labels devote most of their marketing efforts to the 18-34 year old market. I doubt that McDonald sells much to that particular demographic group. Artists such as McDonald have to use other means to get attention in the marketplace, period. If…
