Overview Edit

American Psycho is an album by the Misfits. Released May 13, 1997, it was the first to be recorded and released without founder and leader Glenn Danzig. Bassist Jerry Only, after years of litigation, reached a settlement with Danzig and was granted the rights to use the band's name and image to record and perform.

The album is named after the novel American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis. Originally, the album was going to be titled Dead Kings Rise, an obvious play on the band's resurrection, but was changed when the title track didn't make the album. The album was produced by Daniel Rey, who has produced for artists such as the Ramones and White Zombie.

For the rest of you who are a bit more open-minded, pick this little number up. It's got all the energy & spirit of the classic Misfits, with tighter playing and infinitely cleaner production (I love older albums like "Walk Among Us" too, but c'mon, they sound like the mics were two rooms away from the …

2 stars Not The Misfits best
I hate to sound repetitive, but the new Misfits just arent even close to what the old Misfits used to be. The new Misfts arent auful but they arent in my interest without Danzig, he is the best punk singer to ever live. He definatly reminds me of Morrison. Anyways if you want to here the origonal Misfits at there best definalty get "Static Age" or "Walk Among Us".
