Biography

Edit

Natasha Bedingfield is an English singer-songwriter born in 1981. She cut her musical teeth performing with her brother Daniel Bedingfield and sister Nikola Rachelle Bedingfield in the Christian pop band The DNA Algorithm, and composing and singing with her local church.

On the basis of some demos she was signed to Sony in 2003 and released her first album Unwritten in 2004. The album was well received and debuted at No.1 in the UK album charts, eventually achieving multi-platinum status in the UK and the US. Four BRIT award nominations followed, as did one Grammy nomination. The singles, including “Single”, “Unwritten” and “These Words”, all performed well in the charts on both sides of the pond.

Her second album N.B. was released in Europe in April 2007. Reviews were mixed and the album only reached No.9 in the UK. In January 2008 it was released in the US with a new name: Pocketful of Sunshine.
