British progressive house and trance DJ Nick Warren began his career in Bristol in 1988 as a club DJ. He moved on to DJing for Massive Attack, before taking up a slot at the superclub Cream. He joined up with fellow DJ Jody Wisternoff to form Way Out West who released three albums. Their self titled debut album in 1997 scored a top 20 hit with the chill out favourite "The Gift", while the 2001 follow-up Intensify album had a worldwide hit with a single of the same name. Warren has also contributed six editions to the Global Underground series.
