Omarion is an R&B singer, songwriter and actor. His early entertainment career was as an actor, appearing in adverts for Kellogg's Corn Pops and McDonald's. In 2001 he took a big step in his singing career, joining boyband B2K. B2K released their debut self-titled album in 2001, although they had greater success with the follow-up, Pandemonium, which was promoted by the single "Bump Bump Bump" which made it to the top of the charts. B2K were also featured on the soundtrack for the film Barbershop. Omarion had a role in the film You Got Served which B2K also provided music for.

After releasing the soundtrack album for You Got Served B2K split up and it would be a year before Omarion released his debut solo album O (2005). O went straight into the charts at No.1 and subsequently made platinum sales, while a collaboration with Bow Wow, "Let Me Hold You", would provide Omarion with his first Top 10 hit. 2007 saw the opening of Omarion's latest acting piece, Somebody Help Me, in which he appeared with fellow R&B singer Marques Houston.
