2000 Fanclub Single

Overview Edit

The cover of the 2000 Fanclub Single shows a blue-on-blue theme with what appear to be either Seagulls (perhaps a nod to the omnipresent Seattle squwakers) or snow geese(more likely, given the holiday theme), as well as a nine white stars across the album cover's top edge. Radiating out from a white "PJ" at the center bottom of the album upward are lighter blue rays that reach upward.

The backsleeve is the same blue color with darker, horizontal scribbles. It has the play list details and a mythical Griffen looking upward. Below this it reads, "9 stars watching over us," a reference to the frontsleeve.

Side-A features a cover of Seattle band, Mother Love Bone's "Crown of Thorns," a song that made its way into the Pearl Jam live concert rotation since this first performance at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on October 22, 2000. As guitarist Stone Ament and bassist Jeff Ament were members of Mother Love Bone, it could be argued that the song is not a "cover" in the strictest sense of the word.

Side-B is a cover of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" performed at the same show in Las Vegas.
