Biography

Edit

English duo Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe are the hugely successful synthpop act Pet Shop Boys. Although they have enjoyed little success in America since the mid-80s, their popularity in the UK and Europe has resulted in sales of over 50 million records. They have had 22 Top 10 hits in the UK, including four chart-toppers: “West End Girls” (1985, also topped the US Hot 100), “It’s a Sin” (1987), “Always on my Mind” (1987) and “Heart” (1988). Although it’s been a while since they’ve topped the charts, the Pet Shop Boys continue to tour the world, and still retain a chart presence. Their studio album, Fundamental (2006) was a No.5 in the UK, and included another Top 10 single, “I’m With Stupid”. The release Yes is due out in April 2009.
