Peter White is a UK born guitarist, best known for his smooth jazz style. He has played with Al Stewart and Basia, and released several of his own albums.
In 1975, aged 20, he was invited by Al Stewart to join him on the Year of the Cat Tour. Their successful collaboration lasted 20 years, with White co-writing Stewart hits including "Time Passages", from the album of the same name, which made it to the top 20 in the UK and US.
He has also worked with other musicians, notably Polish singer Basia. He has played on several of her albums, including the popular 1987 release London, Warsaw, New York and the 1995 single "Drunk on Love", which was a No.1 Dance Chart hit in the US.
White's own releases began in 1990 with Reveillez-Vous (wake up), followed by ten more studio albums. He has worked with a long list of collaborators, amongst whom was Grover Washington Jr.. The pair did "Midnight in Manhattan" which was a Smooth Jazz hit from the 1998 Perfect Moment album
