Biography

Edit

Pink Martini are a 14-piece band formed in Portland, Oregon in 1994 by Thomas M. Lauderdale. The group incorporates a number of different styles into their music including lounge, classical and jazz.

The debut album Sympathique, released in 1997, is a mix of original works and covers of classics, such as "Que Sera Sera". The album has gone on to sell over three quarters of a million copies. The follow-up Hang On Little Tomato contains more original works and was popular through-out Europe. Their most recent album, Hey Eugene released in 2007, debuted at No.30 in the Billboard 200, with sales of almost 20,000 in its first week of release.

The band can be heard on the films Nurse Betty, Mr and Mrs Smith and Tortilla Soup.
