Biography

Edit

Cuban-American rapper Pitbull is best known for the hit singles “Culo” and “The Anthem”, which both featured regular collaborator Lil Jon.

Pitbull emerged in 2002 with a song on the 2 Fast 2 Furious soundtrack and a guest spot on the Lil Jon album Kings of Crunk. He released his debut solo album M.I.A.M.I. (Money Is A Major Issue) two years later, achieving a peak of No.14 on the album charts and eventually earning gold certification for 500,000 US sales. A remix version, called Money Is Still A Major Issue, did almost as well by shifting over 300,000 copies. El Mariel followed in 2006, and The Boatlift arrived in 2007, though these albums have not been as commercially successful as the first two.
