Overview Edit

Classics is Ratatat's 2006 follow up to their self-titled debut album. As with their first album, Classics is almost entirely instrumental, with the only exception being a sound sample used in "Wildcat."

During a September 15, 2006 interview on radio station KEXP, the band revealed that part of the album was recorded in upstate New York in a house owned by Björk.

This album to me sounds almost like what their…

"Lex" and "Loud Pipes" are the two best tracks on the album. "Wildcat" is right there too. Head-bobbers all the way. "Montanita" has a nice vibe to it for an opener, "Tropicana" has a similar laid back feel.
