Robyn Tours Two Thirds Of Body Talk
Sep, 9 2010
Robyn has announced North American and European tours to coincide with the release of her second album of the year so far, Body Talk Pt 2. It follows, unsurprisingly, Body Talk Pt 1, which was greeted by positive reviews from critics on its release just five months ago. Both Body Talks come five years after Robyn's breakthrough album, Robyn (2005).
Body Talk Pt 2 features a collaboration with Snoop Dogg called "U Should Know Better." "It was really cool to be able to be in the studio with him," Robyn told Billboard, "first because I always was a fan but also because he was really creative and we had so much of an exchange in being there together, both as vocalists. I had an idea and he really got it and got into it, which was awesome."
So what about Body Talk Pt 3? Despite initially claiming that all three would be released this year, time is running out for the trilogy to be completed in 2010. Robyn says she's only written "a couple of songs" for the third in the series, and nothing has yet been recorded. With her lengthy touring schedule set to keep her busy for all October and November, it seems doubtful that Pt 3 will appear in time for Christmas wishlists.

Robyn Returns With Three New LPs
Apr, 8 2010
With only three more albums released following her debut 14 years ago, you may think Swedish popstar Robyn is a slow worker. But since her international breakthrough Robyn (2005) she's been accumulating new material and now she's preparing to unleash three more albums over the remainder of 2010.
"I got all these great songs, so why not?" she told NME.com. "It's been five years since Robyn and I didn't want to wait with a release until they are all recorded, so I decided to start putting them out right away. I also can't wait to play live again and this enables me to tour and record at the same time. I just want to keep making music."
Having performed on hit singles by Röyksopp and Kleerup in recent years, now it's the turn of Diplo to produce for her. His "Dance Hall Queen" will feature on the first of her new albums, Body Talk Pt. 1, which is due out on June 7.
