Ronnie Day

Ronnie Day (born Ronald Guglielmone, Jr. on January 18, 1988) is an American singer-songwriter from Redwood City, California. He has released an independent album titled Nine Sleepless Nights and a second album titled The Album which was released on November 14, 2006 by Sony/BMG/Epic.

Day started his public music career in a San Francisco Bay Area band called "Sounds Like Life," which also featured John Vesely, who is now the principal artist in the acoustic-based band "Secondhand Serenade."

He played piano on Secondhand Serenade's debut album "Awake."

In 2006, Day signed with Epic Records. He toured for one year, and was eventually dropped by his record label in June 2007.

Most of Day's fanbase was initially on the Internet via his MySpace page, but it expanded as he toured the U.S. and had television exposure.

His song "Falling for You" has been heavily featured on various MTV shows, most notably The Real World: Denver and The Hills. His song, "My Only Friend", from the album was featured on the Cartoon Network movie "Re-Animated"

mtvU produced The Ronnie Day Project, a narrative episodic music video series based on the music from his debut album The Album. The series was directed by Joshua Caldwell, who won an MTV Movie Award for mtvU's Best Film on Campus at the 2006 MTV Movie Awards. The series took place over six episodes, with each one a chapter of a larger story, following the narrative from Ronnie's album.
