Well, I can't be too hard on these guys, it's their debut cd and thery are only like 17. Still, this cd isn't very amazing, it's only ok. I don't know why many people think this is their best cd, their next two cds, Through Being Cool and Stay What You Are blow this out of the water. Can't Slow Down suffers greatly from many problems with uneven guitaring that's drowning out the vocals, a very confused bass player, and drumer who dosen't know when to hit the snare. Still, like every other band, it's their first cd and it's raw. This dosen't make it bad, it's just that there is plenty of room that's left for improvement.

The cd opens up with "Deciding", a fast and down to the point track. It's a good song, infact, it's the reason I bought this cd. However, I only heard it on the 30 second sound clips, and I sounded like a great song. So, I rushed out to get the cd. To my dismay, when I played "Deciding" in my cd player, I heard an uneven, sloppy track. Still, I did enjoy it, and do think it is a good song.

The rest of the cd is the same way, it's conserned with staying fast and dosen't really care how it sounds in the end. This really hurts the cd badly. However, if you give this cd time, and I mean lots of time, it will eventually start to grow on you, but still, It leaves the listener just unsatisfied.

I really wouldn't get this cd unless you are a huge fan of theirs. I reccomend either Through Being Cool or Stay What You Are before this. If you want a good, fast emo-punk cd, check out Allister's Dead Ends and Girlfriends.
