5 stars Maiden Voyage on the Ivory
Solo piano covering some classic IM tunes?! You betcha! Very interesting and very well done. This will play in my classroom when my students are working and they'll have no idea that they are "rockin' out" with some of the best Heavy Metal on the planet. Up the ivory... uh... IRONS!!!

3 stars Entertaining, but...
I like the concept behind this album and the similar album Anatomy of Evil, but the piano really does sound pretty cheap. It just sounds like an electric keyboard. I think a fuller, richer sound would really evoke the proper feel of Iron Maiden. This just comes off as the kind of thing someone would record and distribute freely, not something that should be sold for $17. I mean, it's enjoyable, until you give it a closer listen. But yeah, it's great for when I've got my grandmother in the car. ;)
