Biography

Edit

Shinedown are a hard rock/post-grunge band formed in Florida in 2002 by vocalist Brent Smith, guitarist Jasin Todd, bassist Brad Stewart and drummer Barry Kerch. They have released three albums, all of which have gone platinum.

The band released their debut album Leave a Whisper in 2003 which included the singles "Fly from the Inside" and "45". Both records made the top five of the US Mainstream Rock Charts. The album was re-released a year later with a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrds' "Simple Man". The re-released version also made the top five in the charts. In 2005 the bands' performance at The House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was recorded and released as the Live From The Inside DVD. The bands' second album, Us and Them was also released in 2005, it contained the single "Save Me" which topped the rock charts for 3 months. The bands' third album, The Sound of Madness was released in 2008.
