Slightly Stoopid are a US band who fuse punk, blues, reggae, ska and hip-hop into their eclectic sound. They were formed in 1995 by guitarist/singers Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald, who were joined by drummer Ryan Moran (RyMo), percussionist Oguer (OG) Ocon, saxophonist DeLa and trumpeter/keyboard player C-Money.
The band got their break when they signed to Skunk Records and released their self-titled debut album in 1996. They slowly built up a following through extensive touring, supporting acts such as Toots and the Maytals and The Marley Brothers. This programme of touring saw the band listed in the Top 50 Best Draws in the US, while their 2003 album Everything You Need went on to sell over 100,000 copies.
Their most recent release, 2007's Chroncitis, went into the Billboard 200 at No.55 and features collaborations with G Love and Money Mark. Slightly Stoopids' music has appeared on TV shows including The O.C., and in the films She's the Man and Step into Liquid.
