Overview Edit

Fush Yu Mang, (Often F**h Yu Mang to bleep out the hidden curse in the title) released in 1997, is the first full length album from the San Jose, California rock band Smash Mouth. It includes their first major hit, "Walkin' on the Sun". The title of the album was taken from a line ("f**k you, man!") slurred by Al Pacino in Scarface (One song, "Padrino", contains the line "I'll take any flick with Al Pacino"). On the cover of the album is a station wagon flying through space with an outstretched arm giving the finger. The title is written in a stylized, pseudo-Asian font. The album also features a cover of War's "Why Can't We Be Friends?".

The album was followed by Astro Lounge in 1999.

It was given a Parental Advisory sticker, while later releases didn't.

4 stars This gave them their name....
If you've ever heard songs like "All Star" and "Then the Morning Comes", you've probably wondered "Why are they called Smash Mouth? They're a good-time pop music band." Well, pick up Fush Yu Mang and you'll see why the name of their band is "Smash Mouth". This CD is VERY different than Astro Lounge, I like alot of others, picked this CD up because of their amazingly catchy music on "Astro Lounge", but this CD is full of punk rock music with the exception of "Walkin' on the Sun". Songs like "All …

1 stars There's a better Fonz
Don't get the explicit version. The edited version is so much better. The edited version of The Fonz is sooo much better. It has altered and cleaner lyrics. The edited song actually is very funny. Something the explicit version isn't. Also, the edited song is the one featured is a single(one that got radio airplay).
