Spandau Ballet end the 1980's with a great album...This album gets a lot of bad press, let's be honest. Their first since 1986's "Through the Barricades" and what would be their last. The first single to be lifted from it (in fact, released prior to the album by quite some time) was the AWESOME "Raw" which got loads of airplay, great reviews, but was not the monster hit that it was predicted to be and should have been. Unfortunately, this was a sign of things to come for the album itself. "Be Free With Your Love", a wonderful latino/hispanic sty…
THE FINAL ALBUM FROM A CLASSIC BANDAs a Spandau fan I would love to say this was there best album but it wasn't !. The signs of the split were beginning to show and by it's release in 1990 the game was up. The two Kemp brothers had set there sights on acting and moving on and musical tastes had also changed. 'Raw' is one of the better tracks on this album but it still falls short of the previous albums tracks. In Tony Hadley's book he says that he had problems with the lyrics on various tracks. It's still a decent buy but don't pay to much for this album all the same !.
