This is a must have. Just buy it. 'The Blackout' is the perfect record to get if you've never heard them before or even if you have all the others -- it just blows away anything else out there. 3 stars Interesting, but no cigar
As a whole, this is a creative psychobilly outing that rocks at times, and at others, really looses momentum and sounds typical. Production is somewhat weak, but tolerable. The thing that helps it to stand out is it's artistically infused strangeness. That much makes it a worthwhile addition to any collection, but in no way is this a five star album IMO.
