St. Vincent is a pseudonym for Oklahoma-born multi-instrumentalist Annie Clark. Before taking up her solo career she was a member of The Polyphonic Spree and played as part of Sufjan Stevens' band. Her first solo album Marry Me was widely acclaimed, despite making very little commercial impact. Second LP Actor was released in May 2009.
