Better than everIf you play this record aside Benoit's earlier studio recordings, you can really see how much he has grown as a songwriter and singer. Tab's guitar work has always been strong and stylish, if a bit raw and technically simple. But, on this recording, you can hear that it's the phrasing and emotion that's important to him. Good... but not GreatThere's something about Tab Benoit that reminds me of John Fogerty, and I mean that in the most positive possible way.Benoit brings together a mix of influences from the Louisiana gumbo of his musical upbringing and produces a fine album here.
