Prior work was betterWhite On Blonde is well produced, and Sharleen's voice is wonderful as always. The band performs splendidly, and the songs are well crafted. Unfortunately, the lyrics are a little weak, and they get a little repetitive.I personally prefer earlier work, particularly Ricks Road. On those, Sharleen sings in a lower register and sounds wonderful. The higher pitch of her singing on White On Blonde can wear after a while.
