60's girl group continues to perform. The Angels are currently portrayed singing My boyfriend's Back in Broadway hit Jersey Boys.

First chart hit 1961 'Til second Cry Baby Cry. Bibs Allbut Brown and sister Jiggs Allbut Sirico founders.Bibs did vocal arrangements on these songs and Linda Jansen sang lead. In 1963 they had the giant million selling #1 hit My Boyfriend's Back with Peggy Santiglia Davison on lead. Wow Wow Wee, I adore him, Thank you and Goodnight were also releases that charted. They released 3 albums some which may still be available.

In the book Jersey Boys which is available on amazon and in the Jersey Boys Playbill it's written that the Angels broke up mid 60's, not true. Peggy left for a few years over dispute with producers and Toni Mason, Bernadette Carrol and Debra Swisher sang with Bibs and Jiggs during that time doing some recordings and touring. Toni sang lead when they switched to the name The halos for a short while.

Peggy has been back since approximately 1970 after a solo stint and also a time with The Serendipity Singers (Bernadette toured with the Dips for a while too)..Peggy was also Dusk the female counter part to Dawn and had a top fifty (higher in some markets) recording titled I hear Those Church Bells Ringing.She also did a Latin themed dance recording titled Fantasia featuring Peggy Santiglia.

Bernadette Carroll recorded her own chart records including Party Girl and she sang on many Angel hits including Boyfriend.

Before Peggy Bibs and Jiggs came together as the Angels Bibs and Jiggs along with Bernadette Carroll and Linda Malzone were The Starlets (P.S. I Love You) and Peggy along with Denise Ferri and Arleen Lanzotti were The Delicates. The Delicates wrote all Murray the K's theme songs when he was the top NY radio personality/DJ.They also wrote Black and White Thunderbird which was a top 10 children's Billboard hit on Fast tracks.{eggy Denise and Bernadette recorded as Jessica jJames and the Outlaws for Bob Gaudio and Bob Crew.These recordings are now considered part of the UK's Northern soul genre.these women are all connected as Jersey Girls.
