Still Rockin' The TownI've been a fan of Brian Setzer since his days with the stray cats, and I'm still a fan. This Cd is definitely a rocker and a swinger, his style stayed pretty much the same, I'll define it as orchestrated rockabilly. There's some good rockabilly stuff here like "This Cat's On A Hot Tin Roof", "The Dirty Boogie", "This Old House", his own remake of "Rock This Town", and "Switchblade 327". The boogie and jump tunes are just as great, he does an excellent job with Louis Prima's "Jump Jive An' Wail"…
Swingin' Stray Cat.If the Benny Goodman band and Billy Haley band has gotten together, they probably would have sounded something like this and I don't know if that's a good thing or not. Some of these selections are too frantic. Entertaining are 'This Old House' and the only instrumental 'Sleep Walk'. Brian even goes back to his Stray Cat roots with 'Rock This Town'. Altogether not a bad album but could have been better.
