Having a Mild WeekendOne review reviewer below refers to Dave Clark as a 'shrewd businessman'. One review reviewer below refers to Dave Clark as a 'shrewd businessman'. Yeah--he's shrewd and we're screwed!!!Even if we love the DC5's music, why get so excited over an old, inferior CD that has no business being so rare and overpriced? You think Dave Clark is 'a very shrewd businessman' because--unlike the Beatles--he owns the rights to all of his music? Then why is he sitting on all the music??? Is he hoading it for himself. What is he doing with those rights? Hey--at least the Beatles all got wealthy and we could hear their music whenever we wanted to!! Yes, as you say, Dave might not need the money--but maybe his bandmates would have liked a better payday out of it!!! Face it--Dave Clark is a weirdo and an egomaniac. Lots of people would love to have DC5 music available, but we've managed to get along without it for many decades now, Dave, so I guess we'll just have to continue. I, for one, refuse to pay upwards of $50 or $100 for inferior recordings, when they should just be available in new remastered versions at a reasonable price. Maybe after Dave keels over his estate will be able to get the music released, but he'll probably have the masters cremated with his corpse. What a jerk!!Message to Dave--You had a pretty great band, but you weren't as good as the Beatles!!! There's a reason they led the Invasion and eventually transcended it--they were infinitely greater than your band!!! As were the Stones, the Kinks, the Who, the Yardbirds, and the Animals. GET OVER IT!!! You were a second-tier band, but still great. What is the miserly, bitter hoarding of your music all about, man? You are the Norma Desmond of Rock 'n Roll, Dave--still getting ready for your close-up? Do you think if you wait another 40 years that you are going to suddenly outsell everyone else, that there will be so much anticipation and desire that the world will stop spinning while everyone runs down to the store to buy your record? That you will then rule the world? You'll have your revenge on the Beatles at last? What the &*!* are you thinking? Release your bizarre grip on the tapes and let's have a wild weekend listening to your music. We'll be glad all over!!!
