5 stars You are not going to find many bands like Dead Milkmen
This CD is hilarious. The classic song is obviously 'Punk Rock Girl' but there are so many other songs on this release that are just as good like 'Smoking Bananna Peels', 'Bleach Boys', 'The Guitar Song'. The bands sngwriting often gets me wondering 'how do they think up this stuff?' As far as the musicianship, I can not think of any other band that has a similar sound to the Dead Milkmen, which is always good. 3 stars for awhile, the milkmen rocked
I rarely write reviews, but when I saw the amazon "what the critics say" I had to punch in. The Dead Milkmen were a great band because of, not in spite of, exactly what they were: smart, snotty and damn funny kids. No, they're not as seminal as Black Flag, Minor Threat, X, etc, but then again when you look at all the tongue in cheek pop-punk thats come out in the last few years, with bands like Green Day and that weak band that penned "fly for a white guy"--pass some of the proceeds to the Milkm…
